Ai Disclaimer
Most of the pictures on this site are generated with ChatGPT (using the gpt-image-1-mini model) through OpenAI's paid API. Such images are illustrative only: they visualize the mood, scenes or objects described by a story's author, and are not photographs of the actual people, places or events in the story.
AI-generated images may contain inaccuracies or artifacts and should never be treated as documentary evidence of anything a story describes. Our prompts explicitly ask for no recognizable real people and no trademarked characters, and any resemblance of an AI-generated image to real people, places or brands is coincidental and unintended.
Images uploaded by story authors themselves remain the responsibility of those authors (see our general disclaimer and Terms of Use).
And a word about the texts
Stories are a separate matter. The archive we opened with was written with AI assistance — a library cannot open empty — and every one of those stories carries a note saying so, the same way every story on this site carries a note saying who wrote it. What we accept from authors is their own writing: text generated by AI is declined at moderation. Using a tool to fix your own grammar is fine.

If you have any question about an AI picture we use — or you believe one resembles something you hold rights to — please tell us in either of these ways:
- Use the “Report story” form under the story. Every story page has one. Describe the problem in detail and, if you think a picture under that story infringes your rights, include the exact URL of that picture.
- Email the site administrator at webmaster@swearithappened.com, quoting the exact URLs (the story URL and/or the image URL) together with a description of the situation.
We will review the situation, and if ChatGPT did in fact create something too similar to protected material, we will remove that image from the site.
