Empath

An empath, in the paranormal sense, is someone who claims to FEEL other people's emotional and physical states directly — walking into a room and carrying out its argument, absorbing a stranger's grief on a bus. Psychology recognizes the trait end of normal empathy and warns about boundary problems; the label has also become internet shorthand of variable seriousness.
