Orbs

Orbs are the floating circles of light that show up in photos and night camera footage, beloved of haunted-location tours everywhere. The unglamorous truth covers most of them: dust, moisture or insects caught close to the lens, bloomed by the flash. Photographers can produce orbs on demand in any dusty hallway. The residue worth arguing about is the moving kind — lights that navigate, reverse, and react on video while nothing airborne should. Those clips land in our video section and collect verdicts, most of them skeptical, never all of them.
