Automatic Writing
Automatic writing is text produced without conscious authorship — the hand writes while the writer attends elsewhere, historically in seances, today mostly in grief journaling and channeling circles. The ideomotor effect explains the moving pen exactly as it explains the Ouija planchette. What it explains less comfortably are the filed cases where the script changed to a dead relative's handwriting, spelled in their errors, and answered a question the writer swears they had not thought yet. Handwriting is checkable; juries here check it.
