Cryptomnesia

Cryptomnesia is a hidden memory returning disguised as something new: a melody you compose that turns out to exist, a past-life detail that was actually a documentary seen at six. It is the skeptic's scalpel for xenoglossy, regression memories and much of deja vu — and it is real, demonstrated, and humbling. This archive keeps the term because juries here use it constantly, and because the best counter-stories are the ones built to survive it: details that never appeared in any book the witness could have shelved and forgotten.
