The Elevator Game
The elevator game is an internet-era ritual: ride an elevator alone through a prescribed floor sequence and, done correctly, it delivers you to a wrong version of the building — red-windowed, empty, occupied by a woman who is not a woman. It spread from Korean and Japanese forums and attached itself to the 2013 Elisa Lam case. Filed attempts here are mostly failed rituals with excellent atmosphere. The remainder describe fifth floors their buildings do not have, and camera rolls that disagree about the corridor.
