Urban Exploration (Urbex)

Urban exploration is the hobby of entering abandoned and off-limits structures — asylums, factories, drainage systems — to document them. Its unofficial motto is take only photos, leave only footprints; its unofficial pension plan is tetanus. The hobby feeds this archive generously, because empty buildings at night are where witnesses meet footsteps on floors that no longer exist, radios that shouldn't have power, and — in the accounts juries argue most about — other visitors who do not photograph well.
