Lost Time

Lost time is the abduction literature's core symptom: a drive that took three hours instead of one, a gap between two moments that should touch, discovered later by clocks and confused relatives. Highway hypnosis and microsleeps account for most reports, and honest witnesses usually try those first. The stories that stay argued-over here add the anchors: two watches disagreeing, fuel that does not match, a passenger with the same gap. Lost time is also where hypnotic regression enters — and with it, most of the controversy.
